Synopsis:
Akari and Takaki met in elementary school, and became friends, but soon Akari moved to Tochigi, leaving only letters as a way of communication between herself and Takaki. Now in junior high school, they arrange to meet up again, with Takaki visiting via train on a cold winters day.
My thoughts:
I fell in love with this anime for two reasons. 1) The animation is exquisite. The motion of the characters, the backgrounds, the overall lighting and effects, is just beautiful. 2) The storyline. This has to be the first time I cried on watching the first episode of anything. The story is so alive, so surreal. You are allowed into the characters minds, and you really begin to feel their emotions, rather than watch from a distance. I’ll admit I was embarrassed when I was watching and my brother came in when I was in tears. It’s just so beautiful though. I am highly looking forward to the release of the next two parts. It really is both heartwarming, and if you want a good cry, I highly suggest this anime.
Rambles: Can I say I now love the name Takaki? It’s so fun to say. Takaki-kun….Takaki-san….lol.

Adult/suggestive content: Akari and Takaki spend the night in a shed in a field, sharing a blanket, but nothing happens. So all in all, really clean.
