What is this site?
This is just a personal blog of my rantings and reviews of anime, manga, and occasionally music and books, movies, etc. :3
What is ‘Gesiika’?
Gesiika is a nickname for myself that I got while dreaming one night that my name was spelled the most bizarre way possible. So Jessica became, Gesiika. I realize that on first glance it may look like it sounds different, but it should be pronounced just like my name, Jessica.
Why are there ‘content’ reviews?
When I was first dragged into introduced to anime, I was amazed at all the adult media and references that could be found. Due to personal and religious beliefs, I avoid these things at all costs. However, finding out if these things were in certain manga or anime was pretty much non-existent. There are a few sites that do do content reviews, such as Christain Anime Alliance, and Anime Angels, but again, these were pretty limited. So I’ve decided to post some of my own reviews as best I can, so as to offer other people who also are looking for the same.
How are these content reviews rated?
Here is my reference chart when reviewing.
Suggested Age level: The level suggested for readers/watchers, such as rated appropriate for readers 5 and up, 16 and up, etc.
Violence/gore: A level rating on the amount of violence or blood that would be found, a lower level being something as a fist-fight, to a higher level of excessive blood, flying limbs, etc.
Language: The usage of constituted swear words, severity going from the H-word to the F and the quantity of said words.
Adult/suggestive content: Anything suggestive to sex or inappropriate behavior, from the actual suggesting of it happening, to actual scenes. Anything suggestive to adult behavior, hentai/yoi, etc.
Nudety/fanservice: Scenes were constituted private parts are shown, severity judged on the intent of such scenes (IE, person accidentally loosing their pants, to someone purposefully un-dressing), ranging from un-detailed views to fully nude-detailed shots. Fanservice addressing mostly to inappropriate clothing, excessively large female chest area, and bouncing/motion/views of said area, etc.
